Geraniums at my window, II. And another Carpe Diem painting because I didn't do it right—I didn't prime the paper. I realized it more or less right away, but then thought it was kind of exciting to think about this painting possibly decomposing in a few decades. Actually, I just didn't want to start over. However, I was reminded of how the paper is a bit sticky as compared to a primed surface, keeping the oil paints from having that luxurious feeling that they normal have. Maybe my lesson is learned this time. (I made this same mistake on 6.26.)
I am an artist living and working in Minneapolis, MN. I studied illustration at the Savannah College of Art and Design. I do a little freelance illustration and also sell my work from my studio and at art fairs. I work part time as a graphic designer as well.
