Cicada, the third. The weather on Sunday was pushing the limits of "pleasant atmosphere" at Powderhorn. It was quite hot. The cicadas were singing loudly for much of the day, so I decided another cicada painting was in order. Typically, this would have been a gesso on cardboard painting, but I only had gouache with me. But it's the same concept.
