1.21.11, Birmingham

sold
My first postcard painting of 2011! It was inspired by the flight we took home to Alabama for Christmas. This is my memory of the view as we approached for landing in Birmingham.

Sept. 9, 2006

September 9 is the first date that I have two CTD paintings for. And as it turns out, both of those were anniversary paintings for weddings that happened in 2006.

Sept. 5

I never get tired of looking at wedding photos. For this wedding, the bride had an all white bouquet and her bridesmaids all had pink and purple flowers. I combined blossoms from both groupings for the composition.

10.10.10

I suppose 10.10.10 was THE wedding date to have this year. It fell on a Sunday, which works out pretty well for a party. 11.11.11 will fall on a Friday, just fyi.
This painting was a gift to the couple, and the client also ordered two prints—one for each set of parents. I like the idea she had to include an acorn, which was an element in the boutonnieres.

January 2

Congratulations to Elvie and Denis! There is something particularly nice about winter weddings in New England. The flowers included here are delphiniums and asters with eucalyptus and evergreen boughs.

July 17

I did this painting for my childhood friend Laura. I wasn't able to make it to her wedding last summer, but from the pictures that I saw, it was beautiful. This image shows the mat and clip frame that come with all Commemorate the Date paintings.

September 9 and Thank you note

Just in time for Commemorate the Date's first bridal fair (The Bridal Party on Jan. 9 at The Depot in downtown Minneapolis), I finished Hadley and Brad's anniversary painting and made Thank You notes. I also made notes using the July 10 art.
If you happen to love these thank you notes, they are available to anyone for purchase. Just send me an email. ($3 each, $12 for 5, or $20 for a box of 8)
