Another take on the cherry bowl. This is more in my style—simplified. Rather than copying the still life as closely as I could, I left out some of the cherries and changed the position of one to make my composition. It becomes more about color and shape and less about a cherry bowl. The fact that I like this version better makes me feel even more intimidated by that Dutch realism. Gouache, 5" x 7"
