I don't really do portraits—people or pets. Except, apparently I do pet portraits now... I really like these two cats though, so maybe they are just an exception.

ReplyDeleteThis was done as a wedding gift. The couple requested a painting of their cats—Birch and Alder. Since I'm not much of a portrait artist, I wanted to figure out something else to include in the composition. I settled on the stairs and chandelier from their adorable St. Paul home, which was also the location of their wedding.
