This week I finished an illustration for the Minnesota History Center's 9 Nights of Music summer concert series. I painted the two main elements of the composition separately—an eastern bluebird perched on a branch, and the History Center in front of a sunset sky.
Above, you can see the two paintings, and then the composite along with the copy that was designed by Adam Demers, the Historical Society's graphic designer.
I am an artist living and working in Minneapolis, MN. I studied illustration at the Savannah College of Art and Design. I do a little freelance illustration and also sell my work from my studio and at art fairs. I work part time as a graphic designer as well.
My husband, son, and I live in the Longfellow neighborhood.
